Our fast-paced, dynamic law firm is seeking a highly motivated and diligent Attorney specializing in Medical Malpractice. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned attorney with a strong background in Medical Malpractice Defense Law, Litigation, and strong Legal Writing. The successful candidate will join our dedicated team of legal professionals in representing clients in complex medical malpractice cases, providing expert legal advice, and defending the rights and interests of our clients.
Responsibilities:
The Permanent Attorney - Medical Malpractice will be responsible for the following:
1. Representing healthcare professionals, hospitals, and other health care providers against claims of medical malpractice in both state and federal courts.
2. Managing all phases of litigation from inception to trial, including case analysis, legal research, discovery, deposition, motion practice, and court appearances.
3. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
4. Providing expert legal advice to clients, explaining legal rights, potential risks, and legal strategies in clear, understandable language.
5. Collaborating with medical experts, investigators, and other legal professionals to build a strong defense case.
6. Staying updated with the latest developments in medical malpractice defense law and incorporating these into legal strategies.
7. Maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for the Permanent Attorney - Medical Malpractice position must meet the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Malpractice Defense Law, with a proven track record of success in litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
5. Excellent legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive legal documents.
6. Strong litigation skills, with experience in all stages of litigation including trial.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple, understandable terms.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively in legal case management.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
11. A commitment to providing the highest quality legal representation to our clients.
