Job Details

Responsibilities

Draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications in mechanical and biomedical technologies
Prepare and respond to Office Actions and conduct examiner interviews
Advise clients on patentability, prosecution strategy, and portfolio development
Manage patent portfolios and related deadlines with direct client communication
Communicate with clients, inventors, and foreign associates regarding patent matters

Qualifications

1 year of substantive patent prosecution experience
Strong technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field
Admission to the USPTO (Patent Bar required)
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Admission to at least one U.S. state bar
Experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and foreign patent applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
