Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing legal advice and representation to clients in court proceedings.
2. Conducting legal research and drafting complex legal documents.
3. Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
4. Handling a diverse caseload involving retail, hospitality, trucking, construction, insurance defense, and insurance coverage sectors.
5. Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best representation for our clients.
6. Staying updated on all relevant legal changes and developments.
7. Providing legal advice and assistance to clients, ensuring they understand their legal rights and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications:
1. Must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and South Carolina.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
3. Proven experience in retail, hospitality, trucking, construction, insurance defense, and insurance coverage sectors.
4. Previous experience in roles such as a public defender, military attorney, prosecutor, or judicial clerkship is highly desirable.
5. Strong legal research and writing skills.
6. Demonstrated experience in litigation.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to provide sound legal advice and assistance to clients.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to manage a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
11. High level of professionalism and adherence to legal and ethical standards.
