Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of issues, including but not limited to, corporate law, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, and litigation.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and processes to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate legal risks across the organization.
- Review, draft, and negotiate various types of contracts and agreements to safeguard the organization's interests.
- Collaborate with different departments to provide legal guidance and support in their operations.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, prepare legal pleadings, and manage disputes effectively.
- Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the organization and ensure necessary adjustments are made to internal policies.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide training to staff on legal risk management and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from an accredited university.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Attorney, preferably in a corporate environment or law firm.
- Must be a licensed attorney in good standing with the state bar.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of corporate law and risk management principles.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders effectively.
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
