Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal support and advice to clients.
2. Manage all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
3. Develop and implement litigation strategies, conduct effective legal research, and create persuasive legal arguments.
4. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
5. Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation and be proactive in understanding the impact of these changes on clients.
6. Liaise with team members and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination across operations as per company policy.
7. Represent the firm at legal, community, and business events as required.
8. Manage relationships with external associates and ensure they adhere to contractual agreements.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, specifically in litigation defense.
3. Admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
4. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and persuasion skills.
9. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
10. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
