Job Details:

We are on the hunt for a dedicated, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our financial information by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing financial reports. Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accountant, your chief responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

1. Preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting.
2. Ensuring compliance with GAAP principles.
3. Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
4. Directing internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
5. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
6. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Liaising with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures.
8. Utilizing audio-visual technology for presentations and reporting.
9. Participating in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
10. Providing input into department’s goal setting process.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, you must possess the following:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the Energy industry.
3. Proven experience in financial reporting, general ledger, account reconciliation, and financial accounting.
4. Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes including budgeting, financial closure, etc.
6. Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
7. Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. SAP).
8. An ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workloads.
9. Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy.
10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proficiency in using audio-visual tools for presentations and reporting.
