Job Details

The Senior Associate in Accounting and Auditing will supervise engagement teams, work independently, and interact with clients regularly. They will be responsible for most stages of the engagement and demonstrate advanced accounting and auditing skills.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Comprehensive understanding of the client's business, industry, products, services, and internal controls
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients in writing as well as orally
  • Advanced level of accounting skills including analysis of complex accounts and account relationships, preparation of complex financial statements
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest relevant accounting and auditing pronouncements
  • General knowledge of tax laws and ability to prepare moderate-level tax returns
  • Ability to identify efficient methodologies and best practices and apply them to future engagements
  • Ability to delegate appropriately and provide quality on-the-job training and feedback to team members
  • Involvement in professional organizations or trade groups specific to client responsibility

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of public accounting experience
  • B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting (MST/MBA is a plus); completion of 150 credit hours
  • CPA license is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting, auditing, and tax software.
