Responsibilities:
As an Audit Director, your primary responsibilities will be:
1. Overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of all audit engagements, ensuring they are conducted in line with professional standards and regulations.
2. Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, management, and external auditors.
3. Providing leadership and direction to a team of auditors, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
4. Reviewing and approving audit work papers, ensuring they are thorough, accurate, and comply with internal and external standards.
5. Driving the continuous enhancement of audit methodologies and practices, leveraging industry trends and best practices.
6. Identifying and communicating complex accounting and auditing matters to stakeholders.
7. Participating in business development activities to help expand the firm's client base.
8. Working closely with other team members to ensure the seamless delivery of audit services.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in audit, with a focus on real estate and private equity.
2. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or equivalent professional certification is required.
3. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team.
4. Excellent technical auditing and accounting skills, with a deep understanding of audit methodologies and risk management practices.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
6. A strong client focus, with a proven ability to manage and exceed client expectations.
7. A high level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality.
8. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
