We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Audit Supervisor or Manager to join our team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of audit and financial functions, including real estate, commercial, residential, industrial funds, go file room, CCH, and PPC practice aid.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the audit process for a variety of clients across the real estate, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
2. Develop and implement audit plans, and ensure all audits are completed on time and within budget.
3. Review and evaluate financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and regulations.
4. Supervise and guide a team of auditors, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, tax regulations, and industry trends.
6. Liaise with clients to discuss financial statements, audit findings, and recommendations for improvement.
7. Utilize advanced auditing software and tools such as Go File Room, CCH, and PPC Practice Aid.
8. Prepare and present audit reports to senior management, detailing findings and providing recommendations for improvements.
9. Participate in business development activities to help maintain existing client relationships and forge new ones.
10. Ensure the maintenance of all audit documentation, including files and records, in accordance with company policy and accepted auditing standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or a professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with a strong emphasis on real estate, commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
3. Proficiency in auditing software and tools such as Go File Room, CCH, and PPC Practice Aid.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and guide a team of auditors.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare detailed reports.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and senior management.
7. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and tax regulations.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple audits and projects simultaneously.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
10. Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments, and continuously enhance auditing skills and knowledge.
