Auditor

We are an exciting local company looking for an Auditor to join our growing team!

We are seeking a highly skilled Permanent Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews of various government entities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits and reviews of various government entities to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Review and audit contracts, financial statements, and other documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement
• Analyze complex governmental activities and identify potential risks
• Prepare detailed reports of findings and recommendations for management
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and standards
• Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and standards related to government auditing

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government auditing or a related field
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS)
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Access
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local government and regulations related to government auditing
• Experience conducting internal audits is a plus
