We are seeking a skilled and experienced Automation and Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to enhance our manufacturing capabilities and efficiency. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes, and contributing to the overall success of our company.
Responsibilities:
As an Automation and Controls Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Designing, programming, and testing automated machinery and processes to optimize manufacturing efficiency and quality.
2. Developing and implementing control systems for new and existing equipment, using RSLogix 5000, Rockwell, and Allen Bradley PLC.
3. Creating and maintaining AutoCAD Electrical drawings for control panel design and instrumentation configuration.
4. Troubleshooting and resolving automation-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and develop appropriate automation solutions.
6. Ensuring all automation and control systems adhere to safety standards and regulations.
7. Providing technical support and training to manufacturing staff as needed.
8. Continually updating knowledge and staying current with the latest trends and advancements in automation technology.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Automation and Controls Engineer position should possess the following:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and controls engineering within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in RSLogix 5000, Rockwell, Allen Bradley PLC, AutoCAD Electrical, Control Panel Design, and Instrumentation Configuration.
4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical staff.
7. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
9. Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to automation and control systems.
10. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
