Responsibilities:
- Design, program, simulate, and test automated machinery and processes to complete precise tasks.
- Develop and maintain PLC, SCADA, DCS, and MES systems.
- Create detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each automation project.
- Troubleshoot and repair automation systems and equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably.
- Work closely with the engineering team to integrate automation systems into existing systems and processes.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members on automation technology and best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure the safe operation of automated systems and equipment.
- Stay current with the latest automation technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 months (entry level) to 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, specifically with PLC, Rockwell, SCADA, DCS, MES, Automation Systems, and Process Automation.
- Proven ability to design, program, and troubleshoot complex automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, and computer hardware and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative automation solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical team members and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.
- Willingness to stay current with the latest automation technologies and industry trends.
