Job Details
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level Bankruptcy Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bankruptcy law, with a proven track record of handling complex cases and a book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent and counsel clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 cases.
Manage a diverse caseload, providing strategic advice and innovative solutions to clients.
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
Negotiate with creditors, trustees, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases.
Attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Stay current with developments in bankruptcy law and related fields.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Texas.
4-7 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload independently.
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
Proven ability to develop and maintain a book of business.
Commitment to ethical practice and professional integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high-stakes bankruptcy cases and complex legal issues.
Established network within the Houston legal community.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Compensation:
