Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Bankruptcy Attorney, your responsibilities will include:
1. Representing clients in all stages of bankruptcy proceedings, including counseling, negotiation, litigation, and resolution of disputes.
2. Handling adversary proceedings, including preference, fraudulent transfer, and non-dischargeable actions.
3. Providing legal advice to clients on bankruptcy, insolvency, and restructuring matters.
4. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of legal documents related to bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings.
5. Representing creditors in protecting their rights and maximizing their recoveries.
6. Providing legal advice on commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and other commercial disputes.
7. Keeping abreast of changes in bankruptcy law and advising clients accordingly.
8. Working collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide the highest level of client service.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Bankruptcy Attorney position will have the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Bankruptcy Litigation, Creditor’s Rights, Commercial Litigation, insolvency issues, bankruptcy cases, adversary proceedings, and Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
7. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve disputes effectively.
8. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
9. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
10. A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
