Job Details
Associate Attorney position responsible for representing creditors in bankruptcy matters in Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with and aid clients and staff in a professional and diligent manner.
- Prepare various Motions, Objections to Plan, Payment Change Notices, Fee Notices and Orders associated with representation of clients in bankruptcy matters.
- Attend various court hearings associated with representation of clients in bankruptcy matters.
- Manage assigned caseload in manner that meets goals and client expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor of Law
- Preferred (but not required) Two to Five years of Bankruptcy experience in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 cases representing lenders and creditors, including attendance at court hearings representing clients.
- Must be admitted to the Texas state bar or the United States Bankruptcy Courts in Texas and must be in good standing.
- Should be admitted to practice in the Federal District Courts in Texas or have eligibility requirements satisfied to get admitted.
- Prior bankruptcy experience is preferred but not required
- Must be proficient with numbers and basic accounting
