We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for representing clients in bankruptcy proceedings, managing complex litigation cases, and providing strategic counsel to our clients. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to work on high-stakes cases and to grow professionally in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Bankruptcy Litigation Associate, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Representing clients in bankruptcy court proceedings, including Chapter 7, 11, and 13 cases.
2. Managing all phases of the litigation process, from investigation and pleadings to discovery, settlement, trial, and appeal.
3. Drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, and negotiating settlements.
4. Providing strategic legal counsel to clients, including advising on risk management and compliance with bankruptcy laws and regulations.
5. Collaborating with other team members to develop effective litigation strategies and to ensure the highest quality of legal representation.
6. Keeping abreast of the latest developments in bankruptcy law and litigation, and leveraging this knowledge to benefit our clients.

Qualifications:

To qualify for this position, you must have:

1. A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Massachusetts bar and Rhode Island bar.
3. At least 2 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on bankruptcy and business litigation.
4. Proven experience with trial, deposition, and motion practice.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
7. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
8. The ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
