Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled Building Automation Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced building automation systems—specifically Siemens BAS platforms—ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.

We’re seeking a skilled Building Automation Controls Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced building automation systems—specifically Siemens BAS platforms—ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Install & Commission: Set up Siemens building automation systems (e.g., Desigo CC, Apogee) including controllers, sensors, valves, and network components.
- Service & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve operational issues such as HVAC control logic, network connectivity, and BAS device faults.
- Programming & Configuration: Adjust control sequences, BACnet/IP or LonWorks networks, alarms, and schedules within BAS software applications.
- System Integration: Coordinate ownership data, tag structures, graphics, and third-party integrations (e.g., meters, chillers, BMS).
- Testing & Validation: Conduct functional testing and performance validation during commissioning and after system updates or upgrades.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting, firmware upgrades, and user training for facility staff.
- Documentation: Maintain as-built drawings, point matrices, service reports, and update device inventories.
- Collaboration: Work with project managers, mechanical/electrical contractors, and engineers to ensure project success—from design through handover.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years working with Siemens building automation systems.
- Proficient with BAS platforms (Siemens Apogee, Desigo CC, DXR, etc.), BACnet/IP, analog/digital I/O, and field devices.
- Hands-on experience installing controllers, sensors, valves, and conduits.
- Skilled in diagnosing communication, logic, and hardware issues.
- Familiarity with commissioning protocols and validation procedures.
- Certifications (Preferred): Siemens CERTIFIED (Apogee, Desigo), OSHA 10-hour, EPA Section 608.
- Driver’s License: Valid TX driver’s license with clean driving record for travel between sites.
