As a BAS Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Reading and interpreting engineered specifications, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate implementation of design plans.
- Overseeing BAS automation, configuration, layout, and panel locations for various construction projects.
- Managing data backups and retrieval processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Designing and implementing automation change records (ACRs) and control qualification systems.
- Preparing and maintaining commissioning test documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Utilizing AutoCAD to create and modify design plans as necessary.
- Applying electrical and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineered specifications, blueprints, and schematics.
- Demonstrable experience with BAS automation, configuration, layout, panel locations, data backups, and data retrieval.
- Strong understanding of automation change records (ACRs) and control qualification.
- Experience preparing commissioning test documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD highly desirable.
- Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge.
- Completion of an HVAC apprenticeship, vocational program, or a college degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
