Job Details

Overview: Currently seeking a BAS Service Technician to join a full service mechanical contractor in the Richland, WA market. Primary responsibilities include program modifications, preventative maintenance, and emergency service for building automation systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Service and/or maintain building automation systems.
  • Provide exemplary service to BAS service clients assigned to you.
  • Troubleshoot issues that come up during service visits and repair as needed or directed by BAS management.
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner.
  • Assist with startup, commission, and re-commission of customer systems that utilize pneumatic/electrical/electronic technology.
  • Maintain accurate As-Built drawing package and make changes in Visio, Excel and/or Word as required.
  • Calibrate systems using basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals, and/or a laptop computer.
  • Assist in static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming.
  • Assist in the set-up of operator workstations with all associated software.
  • Perform job database backups on a regular basis.
  • Complete paperwork on-time, including timesheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation, and project status reports.

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of building automation (BAS/BMS) or HVAC controls experience
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems and Protocols, including LON, BACnet and ModBus
  • Willingness to be in the field locally at client sites roughly 80% of the time.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or others
  • Tridum Niagara experience (preferred)
