We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Benefits Specialist to join our team in the Legal industry. This role will play a critical part in managing and administering all aspects of employee benefits and ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of various benefit programs, including healthcare, wellness programs, HSA, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and profit-sharing plans. The Permanent Benefits Specialist will also be responsible for managing deadlines, maintaining strict confidentiality, and handling all NY, Connecticut, and California state disability insurance and paid family leave claims.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer all employee benefit programs, including but not limited to healthcare, wellness programs, HSA, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and profit-sharing plans.
  • Manage the annual renewal process for all benefit plans and ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Handle all NY, Connecticut, and California state disability insurance and paid family leave claims.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all federal and state laws regarding employee benefits.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to employee benefit questions and concerns.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee information and benefits data.
  • Work closely with HR and other departments to ensure seamless integration of benefits programs.
  • Manage deadlines effectively and ensure all benefits-related tasks are completed on time.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Legal industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of employee laws and regulations, including NY paid disability and family leave, Connecticut paid family leave, and California state disability insurance and paid family leave claims.
  • Solid understanding of various employee benefit programs, including healthcare, wellness programs, HSA, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k), and profit-sharing plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines effectively.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and resolving benefit questions and concerns promptly and accurately.
