We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Bilingual EHS Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in engineering and a passion for safety. The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, developing and implementing safety programs, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. This position will require fluency in English and one other language, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations including OSHA.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels of the organization to promote safety awareness and understanding of safety policies and procedures.

  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Maintain accurate records of EHS-related incidents and actions taken, and prepare reports for management.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into all operations and processes.

  • Stay abreast of new regulations and best practices in EHS and update company policies and procedures as necessary.

  • Provide support and advice to management on EHS matters, including compliance strategies and cost-effective solutions to EHS issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role in the engineering industry.

  • Fluent in English and one other language.

  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards including OSHA.

  • Experience developing and implementing safety programs and SOPs.

  • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety concepts to a diverse audience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage risks.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is a plus.
