About Us
We are a fast-growing biotechnology company dedicated to advancing cutting-edge therapeutics through scientific innovation and research. As we expand our operations and global footprint, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant who is fluent in both English and Mandarin to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, supporting international operations, and maintaining compliance in a dynamic and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee daily general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and internal reporting requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, Operations, Procurement) to ensure proper accounting treatment for biotech-specific transactions, such as clinical trial accruals, grant revenue, and cost allocations.
Work closely with China-based and other international teams; translate and interpret financial documents as needed.
Support audits and regulatory compliance, including preparing schedules and liaising with external auditors.
Help implement process improvements, financial controls, and systems enhancements.
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts.
Maintain accurate fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory filings, including multi-entity or cross-border financial activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with at least 2 years in the biotech, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industry.
Fluency in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is required.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with international accounting considerations.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with clinical trial accounting, grant reporting, or R&D cost tracking strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
