Our healthcare organization is seeking a dynamic, professional, and dedicated individual to fill the position of a Bilingual Korean and English Front Desk/Medical Receptionist. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned individual who is passionate about healthcare, has a knack for languages, and enjoys interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, and will be fluent in both Korean and English. This role will involve providing support to our team, liaising with patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for our patients, offering a warm welcome and providing excellent customer service.
  • Efficiently manage patient appointments, registrations, and check-outs.
  • Handle all incoming phone calls and emails, responding to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize your bilingual skills to communicate with our Korean-speaking patients, ensuring they understand their medical information and appointments.
  • Maintain patient records with the utmost confidentiality, complying with all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Coordinate with our medical team to ensure all patient needs are met and communication is clear.
  • Process payments and handle insurance matters as necessary.
  • Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Assist in the consultation process by translating medical jargon into layman's terms for our Korean-speaking patients.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a receptionist, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Fluency in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have experience with healthcare management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information in simple terms.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proven ability to multitask and handle a busy front desk.
  • A passion for healthcare and helping others.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further education in healthcare administration will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures will be advantageous.
