Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the billing and docketing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with firm policies and client requirements.
2. Utilize Microsoft Access, Timeslips, Legal Tracker, and CPI Computer Packages Inc. software to manage and track billing and docketing information.
3. Generate and distribute invoices to clients in a timely manner, resolving any issues or discrepancies promptly.
4. Monitor and manage the firm's docketing system, ensuring all deadlines are accurately recorded and communicated to the appropriate personnel.
5. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate billing and docketing.
6. Perform regular audits of billing and docketing data to identify and correct any errors or inconsistencies.
7. Provide training and support to other team members on the use of billing and docketing software and procedures.
8. Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing and docketing operations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in billing and docketing within the legal industry.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Timeslips, Legal Tracker, and CPI Computer Packages Inc. software.
3. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
4. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve billing and docketing discrepancies.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels within the organization.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field would be advantageous.
9. Experience in training and supporting team members in billing and docketing procedures is highly desirable.
