Job Details

The Billing Specialist assists attorneys with the following:
  • Preparation of bills for clients.
  • Answers billing questions and researches billing related issues, prepares and distributes billing proformas, invoices, and billing related reports.
  • Acts as the billing advisor to attorneys and the legal secretaries, ensuring that all transactions are recorded according to accounting standards.
  • Collaborates with other accounting departments, including ebilling, Accounts Receivable, Cash Applications, Cost Recovery, Pricing, Client Arrangements, Accounts Payable and Revenue Management.

Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of legal billing experience in a mid to large law firm. Big law experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong preference for Elite 3E or Aderant experience, and must have some level of electronic billing experience.
  • Must have longevity.
