Billing Specialist - Fire Protection

We are seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to join our team in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, billing, payroll, vendor management, T&M, and AIA. This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all invoices are processed accurately and on time. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in the success of our business. Looking for someone with continuous billing experience as apposed to large contract experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create and submit invoices for services rendered
• Verify billing information accuracy
• Monitor and track payments to ensure timely payment
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues
• Collaborate with team members to ensure billing processes are efficient and effective
• Prepare and maintain billing reports
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendor invoices are processed accurately and on time
• Coordinate with payroll department to ensure accurate and timely payment of employee salaries

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in billing, scheduling, payroll, vendor management, T&M, and AIA
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficient in AS400 and other billing software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
