Based in Emeryville, CA we are an innovative, mid-sized biotech company that is building a novel enzyme discovery platform. We are scaling fast and looking for our next Bioinformatics Data Scientist. We are passionate about developing technologies that have the power to enable therapeutic development and potentially cure diseases.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing methods to support the discovery and analysis of our extensive genome editing toolbox. You will be involved with algorithm development, big data analytics, and pipeline design.

Job Details
- B.S or M.S. in Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years experience in biotech or related field working on biological data processing and/or analysis
- Demonstrated understanding of common bioinformatics methods (aligners, assemblers, sequencing databases, protein annotation)
- Expert in python programming
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with SQL & NoSQL database design
