Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for the company, ensuring accurate record keeping, data review, and general ledger review.
- Utilize QuickBooks Online and Desktop, as well as other accounting software, for all financial transactions, posting debits and credits, producing financial statements, and recording all transactions.
- Prepare and process payroll, including payroll tax returns, employee setup, and 1099 form preparation.
- Manage bank feeds and import CSV files into QuickBooks for review and reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Work with the CPA firm to ensure accurate and timely tax preparation and submission.
- Maintain an orderly filing system and control company documents.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements.
- Continually improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public accounting or CPA firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and QuickBooks (Online and Desktop). Certification in QuickBooks is a plus.
- Strong experience with payroll processing, payroll tax returns, and payroll employee setup.
- Demonstrated ability to handle and interpret CSV files and manage bank feeds.
- Excellent data review skills and experience with general ledger review.
- Experience in tax preparation is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
