Job Details
What You’ll Do:
- Manage bookkeeping for up to 15 small business clients
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Analyze and prepare financial statements and reports
- Identify and resolve errors on P&Ls and balance sheets
- Handle sales tax and franchise tax filings with the Comptroller
- Process payroll and associated compliance (941, 940, 944, TWC)
- Submit government payments via EFTPS
- Create and maintain depreciation and amortization schedules
- Maintain regular communication with clients
- Support individual and entity tax preparation
- Participate in internal audits and financial reviews
- 3+ years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise (Desktop)
- Intermediate-level Excel skills
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
- Experience with payroll, EFTPS, and Texas-specific tax compliance
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
