Are you a detail-oriented individual with a knack for numbers? Are you passionate about maintaining financial order and accuracy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a solid Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. This role is an integral part of our financial team and will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our business. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and will be responsible for managing all financial records, including sales, purchases, income, receipts, and payments.
Responsibilities:
As a Bookkeeper, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
2. Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including generating invoices and sending out billings.
3. Performing 3-way match for all invoices to ensure accuracy.
4. Conducting regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
5. Maintaining an orderly accounting filing system and chart of accounts.
6. Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
7. Ensuring all payments are completed on time (including direct deposits and tax payments).
8. Preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
9. Utilizing Microsoft Excel to track and analyze financial data.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Bookkeeper role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience.
2. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
3. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
4. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
6. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
7. Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
8. High degree of familiarity with A/R, reconcile, invoices, invoicing, accounts payable, AP, and 3-way match.
9. Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team setting.
10. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
