We are in search of a dynamic and committed Permanent Branch/Operations Manager to join our team. This role is integral to the smooth running of our operations, ensuring we provide top-tier services to our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction & materials. They will possess exceptional managerial skills, with a talent for coordinating teams, managing resources, and overseeing equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to utilize their skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily operations, ensuring all processes and procedures are executed to the highest standard.
2. Supervise and manage the branch staff, including scheduling, training, performance appraisal, and problem resolution.
3. Provide exceptional customer support and client services, fostering strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
4. Support sales initiatives, working closely with the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
5. Coordinate purchasing activities, managing suppliers and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials.
6. Maintain and manage all branch equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
7. Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
8. Manage and resolve any operational issues, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
9. Monitor and manage inventory of roofing, siding, insulation, lumber, windows, and doors.
10. Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a managerial role within the building materials industry, specifically roofing, siding, insulation, lumber, windows, and doors.
2. Proven experience in staff management, including training, scheduling, and performance appraisal.
3. Strong understanding of customer support and client services, with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
4. Experience in sales support, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
5. Excellent supervisory skills, with the ability to oversee equipment and coordinate teams.
6. Strong purchasing coordination skills, with experience managing suppliers and procurement processes.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve operational issues.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships with staff and clients.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
10. Proficient in the use of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
11. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as necessary.
