We are in search of a proficient and conscientious Site Safety Manager to become a part of our team. In this role, you will take on the responsibility of overseeing the establishment and upkeep of efficient safety practices and protocols at construction sites. Your main objective will be to advocate for a secure working environment for all team members, subcontractors, and visitors, with the aim of reducing the likelihood of accidents, injuries, and property damage. Working closely with project managers, supervisors, and construction personnel, you will actively contribute to fostering a culture centered on safety and compliance.
Qualification:

Qualification:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Construction Management, or a related field; consideration of relevant certifications in place of a degree.
- Proven track record of working in a safety coordinator or similar role within the construction industry.
- In-depth familiarity with local, state, and federal safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Knowledgeable about construction processes, equipment, materials, and their associated safety considerations.
- Strong comprehension of hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident investigation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, encompassing both written and verbal abilities, enabling effective safety training delivery and communication of safety requirements to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in utilizing computer software and applications pertinent to safety management and recordkeeping.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills for maintaining accurate safety records and documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making proficiency in complex safety situations.
- Holds OSHA 30 Hour – Construction Industry certification.
- OSHA 510 certification.
- Rigging/Signaling expertise.
- Competent Person Fall Protection qualification.
- First aid/CPR certification.

This position is responsible for the overall safety and health compliance of the branch construction operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a culture of safety within our organization. The Branch Safety Manager will be the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters, including incident investigations, safety training, and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety regulations. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to our mission of building a safer environment for our employees and customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage the branch safety program and ensure compliance with company, client, and government safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
3. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Provide safety training and education to all employees, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of safety procedures, protocols, and regulations.
5. Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents and compile statistical reports for senior management.
6. Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, and occupational diseases.
7. Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal safety regulatory agencies.
8. Regularly review and update safety policies and procedures in line with changing regulations and industry best practices.
9. Promote a positive safety culture within the branch through proactive engagement with employees at all levels.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role within the construction industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction safety practices and familiarity with OSHA regulations.
5. Proven experience conducting safety audits and inspections.
6. Strong knowledge of safety equipment and its proper use within the construction industry.
7. Current CPR certification is a must.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
9. Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying potential safety risks.
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
11. Ability to travel as needed to various construction sites within the branch territory.
