Job Details

The BSA Quality Assurance Officer supports the BSA/AML Compliance Officer by assisting in the effectiveness of the Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Program (the “Program”) by conducting quality control reviews on AML processes, including alert monitoring, suspicious activity investigations, Enhanced Due Diligence reviews, sanctions reviews and other critical areas of the Program. The ongoing monitoring and testing of the program will help ensure the BSA/AML and OFAC Program remains effective and complies with requirements, to ensure self-identified enhancements are promptly remediated.

Essential Duties

  • Conducts Quality Control Reviews on the following but not limited to:
  • AML processes and AML Alerts
  • SAR Case Investigations
  • No-SAR Case Investigations and Disposition
  • Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) Reviews
  • Research OFAC Wire Escalations
  • Conduct OFAC searches on applicable applications to ensure SDN Watchlists are updated
  • Perform Enhanced Due Diligence reviews on high-risk entities/individuals.
  • Completes secondary review of required BSA monitoring certifications.
  • Perform prospective customer reviews for approval/decline recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze and research complex information in order to submit comprehensive recommendations regarding potentially suspicious activity.
  • Proficient knowledge of BSA/AML software to adequately detect, review and report suspicious activity.
  • Collaborate with frontline staff to resolve any outstanding information for customer profiles.
  • Perform training to frontline and BSA staff on BSA related trends.
