Job Details
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Building Automation Installation Technician in Northern California to help deliver high-performance building solutions across commercial, healthcare, life science, and mission-critical environments. In this role, you’ll be responsible for hands-on installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS), including field device wiring, panel mounting, low-voltage terminations, and system startup support.

Responsibilities:
- Install Building Automation components including sensors, controllers, actuators, VFDs, relays, and control panels
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, mechanical drawings, and control submittals
- Perform field terminations and wiring of low-voltage control systems
- Assist in system startups and support commissioning teams with point-to-point verification
- Coordinate with foremen, electricians, subcontractors, and project teams to maintain construction schedules
- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with jobsite protocols, industry standards, and code requirements
- Document field changes and provide redline updates for as-built drawings
- Train junior techs and assist with mentorship in the field
- Participate in quality assurance, testing, and basic troubleshooting
Preferred Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on BAS or low-voltage electrical installation experience
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and commercial mechanical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Experience installing and wiring control panels, sensors, and devices for systems such as Tridium, Distech, Alerton, Honeywell, or similar
- Familiarity with BACnet and Modbus communication protocols is a plus
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
