Job Details

We’re looking for Building Automation Installation Technicians to join our growing team in Bozeman. In this role, you’ll help bring modern buildings to life by installing the systems that control HVAC, lighting, and energy usage—ensuring smart, efficient, and comfortable environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in conduit installation as well as low-voltage wiring, and terminations.

Responsibilities:
  • Install building automation systems (BAS) and related controls hardware in commercial and institutional facilities across Montana
  • Read and interpret installation drawings, wiring diagrams, and project plans to ensure proper placement and connectivity
  • Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling for control panels, sensors, and field devices
  • Assist with commissioning and job site start-up, including basic functional testing and system validation
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and HVAC technicians to meet project timelines and installation quality standards
  • Participate in ongoing product and system training to stay current on building automation platforms and technologies
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized job sites

Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of prior experience in Building Automation installation
  • Experience with electrical or mechanical systems; prior BAS or low-voltage experience
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric (preferred), Siemens, JCI, ALC, Delta Controls, Trane, Honeywell, or others
  • Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Self-motivated and dependable with a willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and occasionally in tight spaces
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
