We’re seeking a well-rounded Building Automation Technician / Project Manager to join our team in the Mobile, AL area. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge of BAS systems who also enjoys taking ownership of project timelines, coordination, and customer communication.
You’ll be responsible for both hands-on field service—including startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting—and managing the day-to-day operations of assigned BAS projects from kickoff to closeout. The ideal candidate has experience with systems like Honeywell, Tridium, Schneider or similar platforms, and can confidently navigate both the mechanical room and the job trailer.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, program, and commission BAS/DDC systems for commercial, educational, and healthcare facilities
  • Lead and coordinate all phases of BAS projects, including scheduling, material procurement, and subcontractor coordination
  • Review and interpret mechanical drawings, control submittals, and wiring diagrams
  • Perform point-to-point checkout, verify sequence of operations, and troubleshoot system performance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders
  • Create and update system graphics, dashboards, and trend logs for end users
  • Manage project documentation, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide technical guidance to field techs and subcontractors as needed

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • Working knowledge of Tridium Niagara, Distech, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical schematics, and control sequences
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently
  • Comfort working in both office and field environments
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or project management software
