We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Applications Analyst to join our team in the non-profit industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems analysis, IT management, and data analysis, and will play a critical role in improving our business processes and system operations. Responsibilities:
As a Business Applications Analyst, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Conducting system analysis on various software programs, applications, and web services to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Managing our outsourced IT partner to ensure proper operations of systems across the organization.
- Recommending and monitoring system security in collaboration with the outsourced IT partner.
- Studying current practices to improve systems and solve problems for the business and IT functions.
- Making recommendations for hardware or software purchases.
- Testing and documenting all changes resulting from maintenance and enhancement upgrades.
- Reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and documenting business and user requirements.
- Identifying and documenting process/workflow impacts to the organization.
- Performing system administration duties and training end users on various computer systems.
- Auditing information systems usage and devices.
- Gathering and documenting requirements for statistical and financial reporting.
- Preparing data reports based on team member requests and performing monthly reviews and analysis.
- Building automated workflows using data visualization tools and using APIs to connect ERP systems to third-party software.
- Developing and implementing data analyses and data collection systems.
- Acquiring data from primary or secondary sources and maintaining databases/data systems including SQL database.
- Filtering and “cleaning” data, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Business Applications Analyst role, candidates should possess the following:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven experience in systems analysis, IT management, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of software programs, applications, and web services.
- Experience managing outsourced IT partners and system security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions regarding hardware or software purchases.
- Experience with system administration and end-user training.
- Knowledge of statistical and financial reporting.
- Experience with data visualization tools, APIs, ERP systems, and third-party software.
- Proficiency in SQL database and data analyses and data collection systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to filter and “clean” data.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
