Our growing company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the construction industry. The role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales, leadership, and project management. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with senior management to develop and implement our business strategy. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the construction industry to drive growth.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and potential partners.
3. Lead and manage the sales team to achieve sales targets and improve performance.
4. Oversee contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms for the company.
5. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve the company's business objectives.
6. Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
7. Provide excellent customer service to maintain and improve client satisfaction.
8. Lead and motivate a team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
9. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and market share.
10. Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and key issues.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry - preferably in Heavy Civil Construction
3. Proven track record in sales management, contract negotiation, and strategic planning.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on maintaining and improving client relationships.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and team members.
8. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
9. Proficiency in using CRM software and other business tools.
10. Knowledge of the construction industry, including market trends and key issues.
