This role will focus on business related non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, and will also include mentoring junior staff! This includes advising clients on immigration-related matters, handling visa applications, and representing clients in immigration proceedings. Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Business Immigration Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing expert legal advice to clients on a wide range of business immigration matters.
2. Preparing and filing various immigration applications and petitions, including H-1B, PERM, TN, and L matters.
3. Representing clients in immigration proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Labor, and the Department of Justice.
4. Conducting legal research and preparing legal memoranda, briefs, and other pleadings.
5. Coordinating with clients to gather necessary information and documents.
6. Ensuring compliance with all applicable immigration laws and regulations.
7. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
8. Keeping abreast of changes in immigration law and procedure.
9. Collaborating with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure the highest level of client service.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to a state bar and the ability to practice law in the United States.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in business immigration law.
4. Extensive knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedure.
5. Proficiency in preparing and filing a variety of immigration applications and petitions.
6. Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.
10. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
11. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
