Are you passionate about immigration law and looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We are currently seeking a seasoned Business Immigration Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have more than five years of experience in the field and a strong foundation in H1-B procedures. This position offers a chance to work closely with a team of experienced attorneys and paralegals, providing comprehensive immigration services to clients from all over the world.
Responsibilities:
The Permanent Business Immigration Paralegal will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
1. Preparing and filing non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions and green card applications, primarily in the H1-B category.
2. Liaising with clients to gather necessary information and documentation in a timely manner.
3. Reviewing and analyzing case documents to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
4. Drafting legal correspondence and memos for attorney review.
5. Conducting legal research on immigration law and procedure.
6. Ensuring compliance with immigration regulations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in immigration law.
7. Managing a high-volume case load while maintaining high-quality work product.
8. Collaborating with attorneys to strategize and prepare cases.
9. Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior paralegals.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a business immigration paralegal, with a focus on H1-B cases.
2. A thorough understanding of the procedures and documentation required for H1-B petitions.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal databases.
7. A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A commitment to providing excellent service to clients.
9. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
10. Paralegal certification is a plus but not required.
