Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of complex litigation matters from inception through trial or other resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
  • Represent clients in court, before administrative agencies, and in arbitrations and mediations.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies in coordination with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide regular case updates.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of witness examinations, opening and closing arguments.
  • Provide written and oral advocacy on behalf of clients.
  • Engage in business development activities and contribute to the firm's thought leadership efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California Bar.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation associate, preferably in a law firm or private practice setting.
  • Experience with complex business litigation is required.
  • Prior judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral advocacy.
  • Familiarity with AmLaw 100 and other legal industry standards and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • A commitment to ethical and professional standards.
  • Willingness to take on significant responsibility and work independently.
