As a Purchasing Specialist for our Manufacturing team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape and elevate our supply chain processes. This role is perfect for an experienced professional who is passionate about strategic planning, inventory management, and procurement. You will be a critical player in our organization, working closely with multiple departments to ensure optimal inventory levels, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels across all product lines and ensure timely availability of materials for uninterrupted production.
2. Lead vendor negotiations to secure the best prices and terms, while maintaining the highest quality and reliability of supplies.
3. Implement procurement strategies to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs.
4. Analyze and forecast market trends, product demand, and supply chain disruptions to maintain a proactive approach towards inventory management.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering partnerships that ensure continuous supply and prompt resolution of issues.
6. Conduct cost analysis to identify areas of potential savings and implement strategies to realize these opportunities.
7. Collaborate with various departments to understand their material needs and ensure their requirements are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
8. Play a key role in strategic planning, developing and implementing supply chain strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
9. Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's material needs and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven expertise in inventory management, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
3. Demonstrable skills in strategic planning and forecasting.
4. Strong understanding of materials management and cost analysis.
5. Excellent negotiation skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms.
6. Proficient in supply chain management, with a deep understanding of the dynamics of supplier relationships.
7. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
9. Ability to work collaboratively with various departments to understand and meet their material needs.
10. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
