Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Permanent Buyer to join our Accounting + Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. This role will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial and operational success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, demand and production planning, and vendor management. Experience in the electronics industry is a plus. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies and manage all activities related to materials procurement.
2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
3. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
5. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
6. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
7. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
8. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
9. Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries.
10. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
11. Coordinate with production planning to ensure timely delivery of products.
12. Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience as a buyer or relevant role (5+ years required).
2. Demonstrable experience in negotiating and networking.
3. Solid knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes, policy, and systems.
4. Proficient in demand planning and production planning.
5. Experience in vendor management.
6. Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software.
7. Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.
8. Strong project management and leadership skills.
9. Ability to gather and analyse data and work with figures.
10. Solid judgement along with decision making skills.
11. Experience in collecting and analysing data.
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
13. Ability to manage multiple tasks, with a keen eye for detail.
14. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and procurement software.
15. Experience in the electronics industry is a plus.
16. Knowledge of RFQ (Request for Quotation) process.
