We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAD Technician/Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be a key player in transforming initial rough product designs into working documents using computer-aided design (CAD) software. This role demands an individual who is detail-oriented, innovative, and proficient in using the latest design tools and technology. You will be involved in a variety of exciting projects, working closely with our team of engineers and architects to ensure the accuracy and quality of our designs.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation of complex engineering drawings and plans using CAD software, primarily focusing on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems, HVAC design, and building design.
2. Conversion of preliminary designs, sketches, and sectional research into fully fledged layouts and plans.
3. Creation and modification of detailed 3D models using Revit.
4. Development of schematic diagrams and detailed layouts for projects, ensuring all designs meet required standards and project specifications.
5. Collaboration with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and transform them into practical designs.
6. Conducting regular design reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency.
7. Utilizing Excel to track project progress, manage resources, and perform calculations as necessary.
8. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the latest CAD technology, tools, and techniques to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician/Designer in the engineering industry.
2. Proficient in using CAD software, especially in creating detailed MEP, HVAC, and building designs.
3. Extensive experience with Revit for creating and modifying 3D models.
4. Solid understanding of drafting techniques and engineering principles.
5. Experience in developing layouts, plans, and schematics for complex engineering projects.
6. Proficient in using Excel for tracking project progress, managing resources, and performing calculations.
7. Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
8. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project managers.
9. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field is preferred.
10. Professional certification in CAD or a related field is an advantage.
