We are seeking a dynamic and experienced District Manager to oversee operations in our high-volume retail locations. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a competitive spirit, and the ability to manage and motivate a team. Our District Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all stores within their district, implementing strategies for increased productivity, and driving sales to achieve company goals. This is a permanent position with significant growth potential for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all operational aspects of stores within the assigned district.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of customer service and visual merchandising in line with company guidelines.
  • Regularly analyze sales figures and forecast future sales volumes to maximize profits.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is functionable and presentable.
  • Monitor stock levels and make key decisions about stock control to reduce waste.
  • Recruit, train, manage and motivate staff to achieve sales targets.
  • Ensure all stores comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Regularly report to senior management on performance and issues.
  • Identify market trends and competitor activity and propose appropriate responses.
  • Develop strong relationships with store managers and staff, providing support and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management within a retail environment.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple locations and driving sales growth.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business management software.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Strong understanding of store operations and financial analysis.
  • Ability to travel regularly to store locations within the assigned district.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a retail environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle complaints effectively and professionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
