If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Our company is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Cargo Tank Inspector to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring that our cargo tanks meet all safety and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of our cargo tanks, identifying any potential issues, and ensuring any necessary repairs or adjustments are made.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Cargo Tank Inspector, you will be tasked with a range of responsibilities that are crucial to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our operations. Key responsibilities include:
1. Conducting comprehensive inspections of cargo tanks to ensure they meet all regulations and safety standards.
2. Identifying any potential issues or defects in cargo tanks and initiating necessary repairs or adjustments.
3. Documenting inspection results and maintaining detailed records of all inspections performed.
4. Working closely with maintenance and repair teams to ensure any issues identified during inspections are promptly addressed.
5. Staying updated on all relevant regulations and safety standards related to cargo tanks.
6. Providing recommendations for improving cargo tank safety and efficiency.
7. Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need a specific set of qualifications, including:
1. HM 183 Cargo Tank Inspector certification or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years of experience as a cargo tank inspector.
3. Extensive knowledge of cargo tank regulations and safety standards.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues or defects in cargo tanks.
5. Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.
7. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
