Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on a long-term consulting basis at a reputable mental health center located in Denver, CO. This ongoing opportunity offers consistent hours, a collaborative work environment, and a strong potential for transition to a full-time, permanent role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest or background in mental health, with a passion for supporting individuals facing emotional, psychiatric, or behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist nursing and clinical staff in providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients with mental health needs
Support daily living activities such as hygiene, grooming, mobility, and meal assistance
Monitor and report changes in patient behavior, physical condition, and overall well-being
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure individualized care plans are followed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment at all times
Uphold patient rights and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies
Respond calmly and effectively to emergency situations or behavioral escalations
Qualifications:
Active CNA certification in the state of Colorado (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
Prior experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting is highly preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Empathy, patience, and emotional resilience in challenging situations
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays if needed
