Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Hertford, NC
Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) – 78-bed short-term and long-term care
Position Type: Full-time | Day shifts | Immediate start available

🎯 About the Role
We are actively hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our high-performing rehab team. In this role, you’ll work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist (OT) to carry out personalized treatment plans that help residents regain the strength and skills needed for daily living.
This is a hands-on, rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.
💼 Key Responsibilities
Assist in the implementation of OT treatment plans to improve ADLs (activities of daily living), mobility, and independence
Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to short-term and long-term residents
Monitor and document patient progress under the supervision of the OT
Foster a positive, engaging therapy experience that promotes healing and motivation
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
✅ Qualifications
Current COTA license in North Carolina (or licensure eligibility)
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
SNF or geriatric care experience is a plus, but new grads are welcome
Team-oriented, compassionate, and dependable
Excellent communication and organizational skills
