Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical conditions and needs, and design orthotic and prosthetic devices to aid movement and manage pain.
  • Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors and therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Conduct patient and caregiver training on the use and maintenance of orthotic and prosthetic devices.
  • Maintain detailed patient records to track progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Utilize your expertise in medical devices to suggest improvements and innovations in orthotic and prosthetic design and functionality.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including building relationships with referral sources and participating in sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, and participate in professional development activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines related to orthotic and prosthetic care.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO).
  • Certification from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC), or the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC).
  • Proven experience working with medical devices, specifically in the field of orthotics and prosthetics.
  • Strong understanding of the principles of biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Experience in business development and sales in the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex medical information to patients and caregivers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on improving mobility and quality of life for patients with orthotic and prosthetic needs.
