We are seeking a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to our organization's financial success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax preparation, auditing, financial analysis, direct equity investments, managing trust, trust administration, investment management, financial planning and tax preparation. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing financial information, analysis, and advice to senior management to enable them to make sound business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and financial plans.
  • Conduct detailed financial audits and reviews to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Analyze financial data and create detailed reports for management, stakeholders, and external auditors.
  • Manage direct equity investments to maximize return on investment.
  • Oversee trust administration and manage trust assets effectively.
  • Prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
  • Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Provide internal and external auditing services for businesses or individuals.
  • Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting or collection procedures, or investment activities and make recommendations for changes to procedures, operating systems, budgets, or other financial control functions.
  • Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax preparation, and financial analysis.
  • Proven experience in managing direct equity investments, trust administration, and investment management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, tax preparation, and trust management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of financial software and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines in accounting and auditing.
  • Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills.
